Mandatory guidelines to follow when you are at the kṣetra

  • Leave footwear outside kṣetra premises

  • Enter the temple only from the east entrance with the tulasi vrindavana to your right.

  • Wash your feet and hands before entering the prākara beyond the tuḷasī vṛndāvana

  • Please enter the kṣetra only in bhāratīya attire:

    Men:
    • Pancha-kaccha with anga vastra;
    • New/clean white muṇdu with anga vastra;
    Women:
    • Churidars;
    • Saree with border for married women;
    • Langa-daavani / half-saree for children;
  • Respect vaidika dharma and follow sannidhāna’s customs and practices

  • Keep the premises clean & use designated garbage containers

  • Respect and nurture nature

  • Kindly bring your own non-plastic carry bags.

  • Don’t enter the sannidhāna without taking bath

    Don’t enter with footwear and/or socks

    Don’t chew betel leaves, tobacco, gutka etc within the sannidhāna

    Don’t smoke, spit within the sannidhāna

  • Don’t enter the sannidhāna from other directions

    Don’t enter the sannidhāna driving a vehicle

  • Don’t enter the temple wearing lungi / pants / jeans / maxi / or other western clothes

    Don’t carry umbrella, sticks, materials of animal skins / leather etc

    Don’t wear head scarfs, turbans, caps, helmets or other headgear within the sannidhāna

  • Don’t enter the sannidhāna during the period of sūtaka

    Don’t enter the sannidhāna for the first five days of menstruation period

    Pregnant women should not enter the sannidhāna after the fifth month of pregnancy

    Don’t bring eatables inside the sannidhāna

    Don’t consume tender coconut inside the sannidhāna

    Don’t conduct saṅkīrtana and/or pravacanas without permission

  • Do not take photographs.

  • Don’t discard plastic in and around the sannidhāna

    Don’t discard other organic things haphazardly

    Don’t discard anything into the stream on the south

  • Don’t pluck flowers or leaves

    Never uproot any plant within the sannidhāna

    Don’t throw waste at the base of plants or trees within the sannidhāna

  • Don’t bring synthetic/artificial pooja offering like incense, colored powder (instead of turmeric/kumkuma) etc.

  • Don’t use mobile phones inside the kṣetra premises.
